Guys, WOW,
I have been using the AI to interact with my database today and I am thoroughly impressed.
I am genuinely curious about how you managed to make it generate queries so quickly and accurately.
Ive been asking some pretty complex questions but still, all my inquiries got a response. Freaking dope
We’ve used a ton of database IDE’s over the years. To have this consistent, clean and elegant interface in any operating system saves time and money throughout the development process. Highly recommend you give a try.
I use this BD client every day, and it’s been a great experience. The user interface is sleek and easy to navigate, and the performance is top-notch—everything runs smoothly without any hitches. The best part, however, is the excellent support team that’s always quick to resolve any issues. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable and efficient BD client!
I was looking for easy interface alternative for TablePlus and I ended up in finding BeeKeeper. Its awesome lightweight and full of features. Loved it!!
Beautiful, fast, clean, logical.
Beekeeper studio is by far the best free tool I’ve used for db navigation. It handles querying and DDL exploration with ease, and the whole experience is just a breeze.
I never truly understood how model design works until I started using this to query and view database! I am grateful for this in my journey. I recommend it for someone learning Django + sqlite since that is only what I have used it for so far.
A super user friendly app that saved me loads of time. I’m not very experienced with SQL and Beekeper Studio helped me to achieve my goals.
Absolutely fantastic. I cannot recommend Beekeeper Studio highly enough. So many database GUIs come across as a painful afterthought, and one that never changes. Beekeeper is desgined from the very core as a user-centric treat. Well done.
Super nice user experience. A refreshing look compared to other similar products
We were having problems with other tools while running queries returning somewhat large result sets and started looking for alternatives. Beekeeper Studio was the solution. Fast, easy to use and much lower memory footprint. Recommended.
I discovered Beekeeper Studio because I was frustrated with the DBeaver interface. What I really wanted was a straightforward tool with a modern design that would allow me to run SQL queries and easily check my database structure for debugging. Beekeeper Studio meets all my needs perfectly.
I have completely switched from dbeaver to beekeeper, and lovin’ it… the interface is simple with no unnecessary complexity.
Its a great educational tool for my son to learn SQL and databases in A level (Grade 11/12) computer science. Beekeeper really brings a dry theoretical topic to life, and allows him to understand and try key DBMS concepts in a rapid prototyping environment. We have tried many other tools, and we find Beekeeper to be the best in visualizing the changes almost interactively.
I was searching for a good solution for accessing PostgreSQL on Windows, Claude recommended Beekeeper, good choice :)
I’ve been using Beekeeper for a while now and it’s stable, easy to use and does just what I need it to… Thoroughly recomend it…
What is your favorite feature?
The interface is clean and fast. Writing queries, browsing tables, and inspecting results all feel smooth and straightforward. When you spend a lot of time working directly with Postgres during development, that kind of workflow really matters.
Did you migrate from another tool?
Yes. I used pgAdmin before switching. It works, but it feels heavy for everyday development. Beekeeper Studio is much lighter and easier to work with.
How much time do you save by using Beekeeper Studio?
A few hours every week. When you are constantly iterating on queries and inspecting data during development, having a tool that stays out of your way makes a real difference.
I love the ease of use with Beekeeper Studio. I love the “View data” and “View structure.” The relations table is a plus within the “View structure.” The features make my job so much easier and quicker, than spending hours trying to find the information. I’ve used other tools in the past, but Beekeeper Studio is the best!!!
Migrated from pgAdmin, felt like moving from teams to slack
My favorite feature in beekeeper studio is that I am able to connect to any type of database and see everything in UI very easily without any trouble. The UI, the design, query system and features like saving connections, queries etc has saved me a lot of time.
Great solution and intuitive UI!
Beekeeper Studio feels like it was built by developers who actually use database tools. I used to juggle between DBeaver and Prisma Studio, but now Beekeeper handles everything in one clean, intuitive workspace. It’s easily become part of my daily workflow.
sufficient free tier features.
especially beautiful and intuitive UI & UX for me
Great product overall. I love the look and feel, the ability to color-code environments, and the support for multiple databases. It’s stable and pleasant to use day to day.
I’m currently on the free version, which meets most of my needs. The main limitation for me is the lack of data import, which is only available in the paid version. Because this is something I only need occasionally, I can’t quite justify upgrading at this point and still rely on DBeaver for that specific task. Otherwise, Beekeeper Studio works very well.
Muito bom o app , que demais mesmo integrando-o ao ambiente de trabalho me ajudou muito …
I appreciate Beekeeper’s user-friendly interface, which allows me to explore my PostgreSQL database tables effortlessly, without requiring manual queries.
What is your favorite feature?
What caught my attention the most were the project organization tools.
Did you migrate from another tool?
Yes, from the native PostgreSQL tool.
How much time do you save using Beekeeper Studio?
I save a lot of time, I have easy access, I have several accounts and databases ready to be accessed, worked on and updated, and all new projects are already organized.
- My favourite feature is its free community edition, then its ability to connect seamlessly with so many different types of Clients.
- I have used DBeaver, TablePlus, Sequel Ace. I still found Beekeeper to be having best UI, supporting MySQL and PostreSQL, and has sufficient features in community edition.
- For each week, it saves approx 4-8 hours of effort. (As otherwise I had to use different app for my different DBs)
I use Beekeeper Studio with SQLite and SQL Server databases, both on Windows and Linux platforms. I’ve found it to be a stable, usable app. It’s the daily driver for my work.
I truly feel at home with the UI and UX, even in the free version! Transitioning from Postico was a significant upgrade for me. The autocompletions, sorting by values, and filtering features—all available for free—are fantastic! It’s impressive how feature-rich it is while still being intuitive and fluid to use.
For me,
The best feature is the simplicity the UI of running my queries at speed when it matters most. Which has saved me and my team hours of button mashing thus freeing us to take care of what matters most - our Players
I am a noob/ novice to programming with an ambitious project of developing a service delivery management tool for my community using only open source software. I identified postgresql as our database but were unable to find a simple tool that would be a desktop client while also helpinv visualize my table and make small corrections easily. Honestly I have been through the entire gamut from nocodb, to pgadmin to appsmith to dbeaver. I found beekeeper to be the simplest and easiest to work with. Being a novice, i cannot talk about other major technical features but the simplest manner and easiest to use.
I’m just getting started in building simple databases from scratch, and working inside Beekeeper is very easy.
Nothing I’ve ever used has come close to Beekeeper Studio. It’s simplicity of design makes it easy to get started with, yet gives you powerful tools to interact with your databases. One of the best tools in my repertoire.
In my role i cover all legacy code, and brand new code, using MSSQL/Mariadb/Oracle/Postgres and sqlite, i think i have now found the tool that cover all my needs in one tool
I have to use multiple databases (MySql, Postgre and MS SQL) and Beekeper has been an absolute joy! The UI is clean and has exactly what I need.
Have been using Beekeeper Studio for 3+ years now, it’s a fantastic no nonsense solution to handle all your SQL database needs.
The UI is simple and elegant, every feature that you need is present in it. It’s a saviour for backend engineers like me.
I was just looking for something different, and I found it. It’s so easy for non-expert users to perform simple queries, and it has a lot of potential. I’m seriously willing to give the full version a try.
Awesome tool! Simple and fast that is what we want while querying DBs. You can expedite analysis base of previous saved instructions
This app is incredibly helpful for connecting to PostgreSQL on my MacBook.
the bst db tools out there on god ngl 10/10
I’ve been using Beekeeper Studio for my MySQL work lately, and it has quickly become one of my favorite database tools. The interface is clean, modern, and distraction‑free, making it easy to focus on queries without the clutter you get in some other tools.
The query editor is snappy with syntax highlighting, autocomplete, and instant results. I especially love that it remembers my connections and opens exactly where I left off. The table browsing is smooth, editing records feels intuitive, and it’s great that I can run multiple tabs just like in a browser.
Compared to heavier tools like MySQL Workbench, Beekeeper Studio feels lightweight yet powerful. It just works, without random freezes or complex setup. Plus, it’s open‑source, so I can trust it without worrying about hidden limitations.
Whether you’re just running quick SQL queries or managing multiple databases daily, Beekeeper Studio is fast, friendly, and a joy to use. Definitely recommended for developers who want a no‑nonsense SQL client that still looks good.
Absolutely fantastic. No mess, no frills, just a fantastic GUI to manage your DB development.
User interface is soo good, and it has all necessary functionality i’ve needed. Easy and simple to use.
A good alternative of TablePlus
Beekeeper Studio is hands down one of the best SQL clients I’ve used.
It’s fast, clean, and makes managing databases a breeze. The tabbed interface, autocomplete, and instant results preview save so much time in daily tasks.
I migrated from dBeaver, and I haven’t opened that app since. Beekeeper is so simple to use; that’s what makes it great. You don’t know (or maybe you do) how annoying DBeaver is. Its interface is overcrowded, and there’s a lot of junk that you don’t need. When I first opened Beekeeper and saw the interface, I was shocked. I didn’t think a studio would be so spacious and easy to navigate. Its been amazing so far
Nice, googd work, it is googd to have a tool like this
If you’re on Linux and work with databases, Beekeeper Studio is a must-try. It launches fast, has a clean and beautiful UI, and saves tons of time, especially if you’re tired of writing SQL by hand. The advanced filters are super handy, and it supports multiple databases out of the box. It just makes DB work smoother and easier. Highly recommended
I’ve just started using Beekeeper Studio and it’s excellent. I’ve been looking for a SSMS-like clean interface for database work against AWS RedShift, and this is easily the best client I’ve found.
… just waiting for (a) saved workspaces, and (b) source control [git] integration ;p
Beekeeper Studio offers a clean, modern and minimalist GUI. By far the most beautiful, combined with speed and intuitive interface. I did migrate from databricks to SQLite Studio due to a new project and beekeeper allows me to have a premium db management tool even with small projects.
Beekeeper Studio is simple, blazing fast and just ‘gets out of the way’ - runs on Win/Lin/Mac so we’re all on the same page no hassles.
I use Beekeeper Studio as my daily driver, and i can say im really happy with it! Clean, simple and easy to use…
Just switched from Datagrip, that is also an awesome IDE, but is turning very heavy over the years…
What i really like about Beekeeper is the fact when im using it, i do not feel any noise around… is such a clean IDE!
Great database client with very useful features
So much more modern and easy to use than tools like pgadmin
Reminds me of the Neon/Drizzle-esk UI, but now you can use it for anything!
When I switched to using Linux full time from Mac, the hardest thing was finding replacement apps for things I used daily.
Most tools were pretty easy to find replacements for, but MySQL clients were either super old and clunky or just too simple.
Beekeeper has been a breath of fresh air, and not only works on Linux, but feels like a first class citizen! They’re constantly making improvements and updating the app based on real world feedback.
This is hands down my nicest app I used in my Dev stack at the moment and recommend it whole heartedly!
The sheer speed alone is enough to make Beekeeper one of the best DB GUI but it’s also friendly and really useful.
Looks amazing, works great!
Even has a vi mode for real developers!
Ease of use, clean interface, fast responce, reliable operation. No migration from another tool. The Download function as CSV saves time and generates well formed CSV, which can easily be imported to a spreadsheet.
Beekeeper Studio is one of the best, user friendly DB clients out there.
I chose Beekeeper Studio for two essential reasons:
- It has a nice clean interface, it’s very nice to see data inside the app.
- It’s fast.
I usually work with postgres, so, like most users, we use pgadmin and it’s fine. However, I consider it a powerful but slow program and also, for me, it doesn’t have a very nice interface. I was looking for something simple, my thought was “I want to see data and navigate easily between my data tables”. Well, I found it,Beekeeper is your best ally when working with databases.
It just works, no fuss at all. Imports and exports, especially, work flawlessly.
As a Linux user, I was never completly happy with the available DB GUI softwares.
Then I found Beekeeper Studio. It’s one of the most friendly and efficient DB GUI software I ever used, specially on Linux!
I strongly recomend you to use it and test it.
It’s still very usable in the free version, but worth every cent to buy the premium license. The software pays itself with all the features the benefits you got.
Easy to use and connect to all of the databases I use. Beekeeper Studio is my database swiss knife.
Its a good tool for Database scripting. I see a future with this!
Well actually my brother suggested me to use it. I think the app looks quite appealing visually; moreover I love the placements of the utility buttons. I appreciate the bold fonts while using a particular block of code. One thing this lacks I would say is its ability to do reverse engineering and forward engineering for sql scripts. Really look forward to seeing that in the future.
Beekeeper Studio is hands down my favorite database client (and I’ve tried a lot). The UI is clean, minimal, and clutter-free — no digging through confusing menus or wrestling with extra features I don’t need. It’s fast, intuitive, looks great and lets me focus on getting things done. It also has some great niceties, like Vim mode in the query editor, being able to copy bits of data straight from the table view and a handy JSON row viewer. Couldn’t ask for more, I love it!
I really liked the UI design. It is user-friendly and innovative. I’m so glad I was able to beautify my own digital environment. It’s a great app that I use not only to do work but also to enjoy what I do.
Beekeeper Studio is a fantastic SQL client that doesn’t overwhelm you with complex features. It’s sleek, fast, and just works - whether you’re using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite. The free version has everything you need for basic database work, with a clean interface that makes writing and testing queries a breeze. While some advanced features need a paid upgrade, the free version is perfect for most developers who want a no-nonsense database tool.
fácil de usar, rápido, maravilhoso
Excellent! The best Multi database SQL IDE!
Love this tool! I have used it to build my startup. It saved me a ton of time and allowed me to export in multiple formats.
Beekeeper studio is very simple and just does the job with a lit ui
I migrated from DBeaver and not considering using another tool as of now
Simple, easy, fast, native. Found this just in time as sick of old-fashioned, bloated and cumbersome apps. With the beautiful and friendly UI, does it’s job very well. I never thought I’d enjoy using a db client. Cheers.
Blazing fast app on Mac silicon, migrated from mysql workbench, I miss the reverse and forward engineering tool on workbench.
I saved a lot of time specially on big queries
Exactly what I’ve been searching for! A clean, simple, intuitive database GUI that just works. When I got an email asking for product feedback I figured I’d give it a try, and much to my surprise I got a very quick response as well as back and forth conversation about my use case. Completely unexpected, Beekeeper is hands down my favorite database GUI.
A gem that help everyone interested in using relational databases [ like MariaDB].
Kudos to the team who created such a gem.
Simple and fancy UI, good software
As a JetBrains user, I normally rely on their built-in DB explorers. However, when I need to hop between connections, I prefer using a designated application. For the longest time I used DBeaver. After discovering Beekeeper, I’ve come to enjoy it a lot! I’ve only used it for 2 weeks, but I’ve already been recommending it because of it’s usefulness! Extra bonus point for being available for Linux, MacOS, and Windows. So regardless of what OS you end up on, you can take Beekeeper with you.
Simply powerfull, boost productivity !
Beekeeper studio has changed how I view using databases! Query execution is very lightweight and human readable thanks to its intuitive query editor. I’ve upgraded from SQL Server and it was a smooth change — Beekeeper Studio enhanced my own workstream, offering a cleaner experience and better performance, as well as flexibility.
Beekeeper Studio saved me at least 30% of my work with data analysis tasks. I can more easily see patterns in the data which makes for a much faster way of compiling my reports, and ultimately finding much more insight. Overall, Beekeeper Studio is a lovely choice for anyone wanting to level up their database management!
Vim mode is a unique & awesome feature
Simplicity and efficiency are key. This GUI client database software stands out as a shining example of these principles, offering a streamlined experience for executing SQL requests.
The software boasts a minimalist UI that doesn’t overwhelm users with unnecessary clutter. Its clean design allows for quick navigation and easy access to essential features.
I’ve been using DBeaver for a while, and while it has its place, Beekeeper Studio’s interface is far more intuitive. I work across multiple computers, including Mac and Windows, and Beekeeper Studio makes this effortless. My connections to different databases just work seamlessly, no matter where I am. The simplicity and ease of use allow me to focus on the code rather than the tool itself. I’m really impressed by the ethos behind Beekeeper Studio and can’t wait to see how it evolves.
Very light weight fantastic app. Migrated from PGAdmin for postgresql. You can easily perform CRUD operations on local as well as remote databases.
Very useful, easy to use and have enough features
Beekeeper Studio has a neat and clean user interface. It would be even better if I had an option to switch the connection without disconnecting and closing the current window.
Pretty and usefull, the simplest SQL editor I ever tried
I tried out this product since I needed to convert my SQLite database into JSON files.
I tried an online converter, but wasn’t happy with the results.
It was really easy using their Export feature and got my database into .JSON, and .CSV files. It was quick and easy, and the files looked really correct and good; I was really impressed.
Because of this, I decided to buy the product for a year.
Take a look.
i love beekeeper. Is the best RDBMS of the world
I like beekeeper studio
Running, editing and saving SQL snippets
Yes, coming from Windows (to Mac) I was looking for a free/opensource and lightweight tool to replace HeidiSQL which doesn’t have native support for MacOS and I found something even better, Beekeeper!
I just started learning database recently and found out about Beekeeper, it’s much better than the previous tool I was using, with beautiful UI and better user experience. I enjoy using it so far it’s intuitive for me. Hope I will get to use more features in the future. Thank you for creating this tool!
This is the best SQL client I’ve used so far. I appreciate the single database view and the quick filter options. The user interface is clean and well-designed.
As a software developer using Fedora Linux, I’ve tried various database managers. In the end, I chose Beekeeper Studio. It’s very user-friendly and allows me to work with MySQL and SQLite efficiently.
Beekeeper studio helped me with the back filling process in batches. I think it is now crucial for me for the capacity to save queries that I want to reuse later and don’t have to search through the psql history
Just started using it. Wide range of tools and seems to work with multiple DBs so it is versatile.
I’ve been building database-driven applications since the late 90s.
The first database I used was Microsoft Access. Eventually, I started
writing PHP and using primarily MySQL where PHPMyAdmin was the best
client to manage the database. Now I primarily write applications in
Go and use Postgres. I have been using DBeaver for the last couple of
years even though it frustrates me.FINALLY, I found Beekeeper Studio
and I’m in love. It has everything I’ve ever wanted out of a database
client. The UI is very refreshing and the stability makes me feel warm
inside.
Just what I needed! Nice and easy to use, intuitive interface, no bloating features - perfect for productivity.
Wonderful
I’ve been using the free version of Beekeeper Studio for a while now and it is by far the best database software in my toolbox. It’s super quick and easy to use, the UI is just slick there is no better description. Before this I used pgAdmin and whilst yes it probably does a lot more, most of it I didn’t use. Beekeeper Studio does the fundamentals extremely well and I can’t wait to make the most of ultimate.
I love Beekeeper studio because, finally, I can query my databases directly without writing an app. But not just that, it shows me my table structures - and that I find useful.
I’ve had the pleasure of using Beekeeper Studio for database management, and it’s been nothing short of a revelation. From the get-go, the user interface is refreshingly modern and uncluttered, making navigation and operation intuitive for beginners and seasoned pros alike. The ease of use is complemented by a robust set of features that, quite surprisingly, cater to powerful database operations without overwhelming the user. What’s more, the portable version of Beekeeper Studio has been a game-changer for me, allowing the flexibility to manage databases directly from my USB drive, no installation required. It’s rare to find a tool that balances power and simplicity so effortlessly. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a hassle-free SQL client experience!
I was looking for a simple but still pleasant to use application to manage my remote DBs. I appreciated the simplicity and organization of the software as well as the monitoring of developments planned for the future.
I have found Beekeeper Studio to be the best way to stay on top of my PostgreSQL databases. Love it!
I use this tool literally every work day.
I have tried to use several SQL client’s for Linux, and Beekeeper is the best for me. I’m a hard sell because I am used to MSSQL enterprise and Beekeeper really stands out against all the others.
I just wanted to reach out and say, thank you so much for Beekeeper Studio. I just paid for a license, and this software is amazing. I just tried the AI Shell just now, and the amount of tech built into a SQL client is just amazing!
Thank you for improving my life!
As a solo developer, I was searching for a tool that would simplify my workflow and improve my efficiency. That’s when I found Beekeeper Studio. The user-friendly interface and comprehensive functionality has made it a valuable asset to my development process. I can easily manage all my databases, run SQL queries, etc. Beekeeper Studio has exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it to any individual developer looking to enhance their work experience.
I love Beekeeper for its clean and easy-to-use interface and ease of usage!
Beekeeper Studio is BY FAR the most user-friendly DB GUI out there! I started using it a year ago and now our whole team bought a license. The multi-DB support is simply awesome as I use 4 different types of databases on a regular basis. Plus it works on Windows and Mac.
I’ve used many different DB clients over the past 10 years but they were all lacking in some regard so I gave a Beekeeper a try and I immediately knew that this is the one. Beekeeper is so much better than any other client that its not even close. Clean and modern UI, fast, intuitive. It has made my development a lot easier and faster.
Being a Linux user, you get your selection of DB client tools like DB Visualizer with cutting edge UI / UX experiences fresh from ’90s built on Java. With Beekeeper Studio, Linux is a first class citizen with a native app that is beautiful, lightweight, full featured and fast. Best DB tool on Linux by a country mile.
I’m new to database management. Having a tool like BeeKeeper Studio is very helpful to me, as I’m learning on how to use this tool. I used other software in the past. They were not as flexible as this one, and sometimes, there was no mac version.
I found the tool very well designed and easy to use.
Migrated from dbeaver. Mainly due to simple and intuitive GUI interface. Such a simple and powerfull tool.
oh hell yeah! hands down the fastest patch from a report I’ve ever filed. just another reason why I tell anyone who will listen to use beekeeper. thanks!
I use it for my daily work, it’s simple, functional, free !
Its a wonderful software
Its easy to work with and navigate between tables and execute queries
We use it to test and maintain our staging database
would highly recommend
I have to say, this was one of the best support experiences I’ve had in a long while. I really appreciate the quick resolution, thanks!
Loved the UI! I was looking for an alternative to Supabase when I moved my DB. Beekeeper came out to be most useful DB visualisation and editing tool!
My recent favourite db tool! Userfriendly !
Una herramienta excelente, desde que la use pro primera vez no la cambio por otra…
The interface is clean and easy to use. The platform is light and user friendly
Beekeeper Studio has always been my go-to DMS for SQL.
It works great and don’t have reasons to change it for another tool
Very easy to manage Database changes.
Beekeeper is very easy to get started with, even for beginners. Its clean and ergonomic interface makes it intuitive and pleasant to use.
Two key things. First, connectivity. I don’t have to use DB Browser for SQLite, MySQL Workbench for MySQL, psql for PostgreSQL. Beekeeper works with them all. Second: AI. The AI feature compiles English into SQL.
awsomeeeee, srsly one word awsomeeee
The best DBMS software in the game!
Beekeeper is one of the cleanest and best workbench for any database. I really liked the UX and the way is made to stay focused with necessary features only.
Keep up the great work. Cheers!
Love from a developer to developers.
I absutely love beekeeper studio. I do not use many of the features, but i really enjoy the table view.
Beekeeper let me use SQL DBs in my workflow. Im a data scientist and exploring, touching and looking at tables is a must. With beekeeper is super easy to navigate DBs, local or remote almost regardless the technology and size. Even in the free plan (please add DuckDB to the free plan ;) )
The software is fantastic.
It is feature rich and I enjoy using it’s easy to follow UI.Thank you for creating such a masterpiece.
Absolutely fantastic! The developers are putting in tremendous effort to manage it effectively.
Currently, for Mac users, this is the best option available for handling multiple types of databases.
dope as fuck, this product wow- dont knwo how they managed to get the SQL so smoothly integrated, but wow, its amazing
This is precisely what I needed. The UI is snappy and clean, works as I’d like and expect, and just gets the job done. It’s the perfect tool for workin on my SQLite databases. I used to use Navicat YEARS ago, but now their license pricing is completely ludicrous. Keep up the great work, Beekeepers!
I liked the interface because it was intuitive. I used the application to visualize data from a MySQL database, which was something that had been blocking my development.
Beekeeper Studio has become my go-to SQL editor across Postgres, MySQL, and SQLite workflows. It offers a clean interface, intuitive query editing, and hassle-free connection management without the heavy footprint of many enterprise tools. Results are fast, exports are simple, and the UI stays out of the way so I can focus on the data.
Open source software quality varies, but Beekeeper Studio consistently delivers polish with active development and responsive updates. For developers and analysts who appreciate speed, usability, and transparency, this is one of the best database tools available.
Great experience, super easy to use!
Nice clean UI. Easy to use. I like the perpetual licence offer, as I’m trying to recommend to my clients software without ongoing fees where possible. So also recommending this to others as part of my consultancy work.
Great app , works good for my server side class
Very easy to use and very user friendly. One of the best app
Well functioning and modern design
Beekeeper Studio is my go to tool for Database GUI operations - MySQL, Postgres, SQLite - one tool for the job. I also appreciate the shared queries for workspaces in the ultimate edition - makes it quick and easy to stand up connections on a new computer. Mac & Windows work feature for feature, so that’s nice too!
I used to use SQLyog but it was too expensive. This is just as good… and it’s free!
tbf as a Gen-z dev, I can’t afford to look back and write dozens of lines every time I got to tweak stuffs.Beekeeper has made my work way faster ngl. Now I can employ more of my time to design, not spam my keyboard.
Besides the clean UI and the dark mode of course, probably what I like the most is the copy options available for query results and how easily I connect to and switch between databases. This makes work effortless and distraction-free. I migrated from pgAdmin. Beekeeper Studio is easily a thousand times better. It’s so much lighter, faster, and more enjoyable to use.
Beekeeper is a fantastic tool for every level. I am myself non-technical and found Beekeeper extremely intuitive and easy to use
Very like this product, how easy and straightforward to use, how the clean UI looks compared to old and outdated alternatives overall it’s a great product, highly recommend.
Beekeeper is simple!BS is the most user-friendly DB GUI out there! Friendly UI, great for a free app. Kudos to the Beekeeper team!
Great lightweight SQL editor / studio! Been looking into a lot of alternatives for Azure Data Studio, and with Beekeeper I have found it. Clear overview, no unnecessary features, clean UI, super fast to launch, and it just works smoothly across different databases. Doesn’t feel bloated at all – perfect for quickly writing queries and exploring data without distractions. Highly recommended!
Great tool! Finally Dbeaver goes to sleep
Overall, the best database management GUI I’ve used so far. the ui is well polished, and it works without any issues..
Just started using Beekeeper and so far i ready like it. Using the free version for hobby purposes. Thinking about buying a licence.
After using many other platforms, this one just ticks all the boxes and it is very fast at the same time!
Thanks!
Beekeeper is simple! I’ve had my share of database management apps over the years, but none have helped me do more in less time like Beekeeper has. Kudos to the Beekeeper team!
new to SQL. I am easily able to navigate beekeeper studio with a little help writing the queries from Claude. The flow is intuitive. I like it.
It Opens Fast, which is what I really like the most. I migrated from DBBeaver (It takes to open, More Features, but not UI friendly). I was able to operate between multiple databases easily than with DBBeaver, as in DBBeaver
I‘ve started using Beekeeper since it is more or less the only „native“ and not buggy feeling SQL client on Mac. I stayed for the MongoDB Integration, no need to switch to half baked UI clients for Mongo anymore!
Beekeeper Studio has been an incredible tool for our development process. It’s helping us analyze our company’s data efficiently, making it easier to make informed decisions and accelerate our growth. We highly recommend it to any team working with databases.
Very good software for working with SQL tables and views. Keep it up 👍
Suggestions:
Make fonts a little bolder for easy catching view of records.
I work in Support at a Tech company. Once our devs made the switch it was a game changer for me. So much easier to navigate than the previous system and having multiple queries open at once boosted my efficieny. Thank you!
I’m currently testing a database tool that I discovered through LinkedIn Learning (though I can’t recall the specific course). So far, it’s been impressive in both design and functionality. While I’m still in the early stages of testing, I can already see the ongoing improvements being made to the software on a daily basis.
Nick
Retired [ former IMS/DB2/Oracle SysProg/DBA]Beekeeper Studio is the best tool I found to manage MariaDB. It is versatile, easy to use/setting, offers many nice options .
Bottom line : It is a gem !
Congats to the development teams!
really good and fast, much better than pgadmin
I used to use dbeaver for free, so paying for a db manager was a new step for me. The feature that enticed me to upgrade was the “cloud” storage of my queries. I change laptops a lot, and I seem to kill my hard drives a lot. So I’m often starting over, and one thing I never seemed to have was old queries that I found useful. Now I change hardware all the time and everything is saved.
It’s not as fully featured as dbeaver, but I’m finding that I’m not really missing the missing features, to the point where actually I couldn’t even list them.
No 5 stars? Well …
The auto-complete for field names and the like is patchy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t (often after misspelling something and correcting it). I’m finding that more irritating than I expected to.
Also, I’d like to be able to choose which combination of enter, ctl-enter, shift-enter, etc. etc. performs which action (specifically ctl-enter!!)
But, actually, overall I love it, and am happy to pay for it. I can’t quantify how much time I save, but I use it a lot without thinking I’m wasting time.
Beekeeper has been essential in helping us generate and download extensive custom reports for our largest clients — often involving millions of transactions and records. This capability has been critical to our success, allowing us to deliver the insights our clients need and ultimately helping us retain some of our most valuable long-term partnerships.
I love the quickness and simplicity. Opens fast, performs fast. Interface is simple and slick. Wonderful to use.
Great app!! I switched from Workbench to Beekeeper. I highly recommend!
I think beekeeper is quite elegant in its appearance, not only that its also quite convenient as you can swiftly change database modes, the fonts are great, also the black theme is truly a charm. I love it mostly for its ease of use. I would love to see the devs add a feature in the near future where you will be able to visuallize the tables graphically like in MySQL Workbench.
As a principal engineer that is always looking for the most efficient way to get something done, I work on a combination of Mac and Linux and the ability to have feature parity and the same application on both platforms is outstanding. We were an early adopter of DuckDB and it’s fantastic to have it supported now.
The json column viewer has by far been the most useful feature to me. Moving from PG admin, Beekeeper is light and fast also feels very modern.
Beekeeper Studio has been my go-to tool for managing 20+ databases I have across all our projects, super simple to connect, save connections and more. The new JSON viewer feature is also crazy useful to simply view all related data as a JSON.
The UI has to be by-far the best in the industry in terms of how simple, straight forward and versatile it is. Also while looking a lot more friendly to the eyes(Dark Mode FTW). Saw the landing page, tried it out for 10mins and I knew, MYSQL workbench was nothing compared to this piece of art.
As someone who manages multiple db’s on quite a few environments, Beekeper Studio has become a very fun and pleasant experience. Can’t believe i didn’t find this sooner. The licensing policies also made me want to support the initiative even more. Would 10/10 buy again.
Returning to web development after a long break, I needed a reliable and straightforward way to manage my database. Initially, I tried “pgAdmin 4,” which was okay but felt overly complicated while still falling short of my needs. Then I found Beekeeper, and it was a total game-changer! It gave me exactly what I needed—simple, effective tools that let me get started quickly and without the usual headaches.
But the real standout for me was their developer-friendly business model. On top of that, they offered me a generous discount because I’m from a vastly underrepresented country (Libya). That kind of thoughtfulness and inclusivity is something I’ve never encountered before, and it made me want to support them even more!
Before Beekeeper studio, I was using MySQL’s VS Code extension, and I was endlessly frustrated with it… Freezing whenever the query brought back more than 10,000 rows (i.e., basically always), disconnecting constantly, forgetting my connections at random… it was such a drag on my productivity.
In stepped Beekeeper Studio… It JUST WORKS. My needs are simple, and so is Beekeeper Studio. I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s so intuitive to use, there was a time delta of precisely 0 seconds between the first time I opened it and when it began adding value to my workflow.
I only wish I could give more than 5 stars.
I work with multiple SQL DBs, really like how simple it is to connect to each one of them. Very simple but powerful UI.
The JSON viewer is really a great helper, specially for old DBs with huge amount of fields.
After testing other apps, I have been using Beekeeper for more than a year as the only SQL client I have.
I’m an analytics grad student who got this when I was brand to SQL. I searched a lot of applications and downloaded a handful of tools to test on projects. I was really frustrated and struggling until I found beekeeper. It was great for getting started, and have still found it effective as I’ve improved to novice level. Great tool for all skill levels. It’s easy to get it up and running and works well with other applications I use for visualization.
Simple and effective! I used pgadmin and DataGrip in the past, but I think Beekeeper it’s easier to setup and use.
Beekeeper Studio is an outstanding open-source database management tool that offers a refreshing approach to SQL client interfaces.
Its clean, modern design stands out with an intuitive user interface that makes database interactions smooth and enjoyable.
Key strengths:
- Elegant, minimalist UI design
- Cross-platform compatibility (Windows, Mac, Linux)
- Free and open-source community edition
- Support for multiple database types (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, etc.)
- Simple connection management
- Lightweight and fast performance
- Dark mode support
- Easy query editing and execution
The community edition provides robust functionality for developers, data analysts, and database administrators who need a reliable, user-friendly SQL client without complex configurations or steep learning curves.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced database professional, Beekeeper Studio Community offers a delightful, straightforward database management experience that prioritizes clarity and ease of use.
I have used a lot of other tools before I found Beekeeper Studio. I just wanted a simple tool where it gets out of the way and let me do simple db queries. I also wanted the ability to connect to various databases. Unfortunately, none of the tools I tried met my expectations. Beekeeper does that and so much more, while also being such a beautifully crafted software. It is literally a godsend.
Clean UI
Use dbeaver, pgadmin before. So far this tool is much easier to use.
This is the PostgreSQL client I’ve been looking for! The UI is what sets it apart: Clean, intuitive, powerful. Goodbye clunky PGAdmin.
Coming from pgAdmin, I was looking for a daily workhorse without unnecessary overhead – and Beekeeper Studio is exactly that. It has Zen mode by design, let’s me focus on my work while still providing all features I need, e.g., query editing, exporting results, showing table definitions etc. And all of that in a fresh and modern design I enjoy looking at all day. Thanks a lot!
Have only recently started needing to queries databases again in a new role, so far loving the simple clean UI, does what I need to and isn’t cluttered / bloated.
Fácil de usar, con una UX brillante y un sinfín de características. Sin duda, seguiré utilizándolo.
What a nice and clean tool !
It helps a lot.
I used to use DB tooling from Java-based application. Since Electron-based application is mature, I interested to find electron-based DB tooling and found Beekeeper Studio. I’m happy to say that this is the best so far
Lovely tool managed to work better than MySQL Workbench which I could not get to connect using SSL.
Great UX, UI!
I like the simplicity, yet power to do what I need to do as a dev. The tool is not in the way, it helps a lot to focus on what I really want to do.
I am learning SQL language with beekeeper studio. It’s not easy, but I hope to. I hope to find a different job using SQL language with beekeeper studio, but in this moment is not possible for me
Beekeeper Studio is a fantastic SQL editor! It’s user-friendly, modern, and makes managing databases a breeze. I love its open-source vibe and the community support. Highly recommend!
I love the intuitive ui and sleek looks as well as the fact I can run on either Linux or MacOS.
I have tried various other clients over time but never quite found one I was totally comfortable with. Beekeeper is the best I’ve found.
It’s perf
The simple SQL client I was looking for!
I need a quick SQL client on a remote linux. Beekeeper proved to be more than enough. I didn’t encounter any issues.
I definitely recommended. The others tools are just garbage. I used pgadmin and jetbrains, but they don’t feel so comfortable. I share the devs mindset and like what they do: easy filtering, tabs, files, the navigation. I wouldn’t say I see a value for a commercial license, but perhaps I just don’t see such need for a solo dev
awesome tool, saving queries and being able to see and manage the data in a clean and sleek interface is just another world, thanks guys :)
Unlike other SQL/DB GUIs out there (I’m looking at you DBeaver), Beekeeper does an excellent job of getting out of my way so I can concentrate on writing clear concise code. When I need to go deeper, into the table structure, it’s a right-click away. Awesome!
I’ve been using Beekeeper for a few years now. I love its simplicity and reliability. Beekeeper is excellent software.
Amazing UI and ease of use. One of my go to SQL client for development and running queries directly to DB.
Great tool. Lightweight, fast, user friendly. I was using Workbench before.
Awesome app, clean design and easy to use!
Best SQL query & editor tool I have ever used. It provides everything I need to manage my database.
Olá, tudo bem!
O Beekeeper é ótimo !
Com ele eu consigo me conectar nas bases de dados e criar meus códigos sql com muita segurança. Parabêns a equipe.
I started helping my sister learn SQL recently, and up to yesterday she was just using
psqlin a terminal. While functional, Beekeeper has been much more helpful for her. Just having the simple stuff like saved queries, syntax highlighting, and results in a separate area has made a big difference.
I work across a lot of different computers including Linux and Windows and also use WSL.
Beekeeper Studio is BY FAR the best DB GUI out there I have tried on windows. I really love it.
I think Beekeeper Studio is a great SQL editor and database manager. My favorite feature is the intuitive and minimalist UI, which makes it easy to navigate and manage databases efficiently. It’s a popular choice for those who have migrated from tools like MySQL Workbench due to its user-friendly design and powerful features.
I’m new to database so haven’t really researched what is available but I find this tool very intuitive and rather easy to use. Database in general to me is kind of not straight forward especially when it comes to what can be saved and the data type. Although Beekeeper doesn’t really make that part easier, it at least recognizes the various types available and helps me with that. In developing tables, I had to go through iterations in learning about the data types and pros and cons of some. I wish that there was a easier way to redo a table and change types and add/delete columns much like how you can do that with spreadsheets. Again this may be the nature with database but a tool that would make it easier would be nice.
Fast, effective. Dark mode is a plus
I’ve been mainly using it with PG and it has been great.
haven’t used it much yet but seems pretty cool
favorite feature: can open many tabs and run many sql queries
i’m considering migrating from tableplus
also seems snappier
Simply the best DB GUI by far. Super easy to use, good UX and nice looking interface
I use it constantly to look at my tables and run queries.
It works, everything is just accessible and useable.Do yourself a favour and get onboard the beekeeper train. Choo choo!!
Coming from MySQL Workbench, it has been a pleasure acquiring a license for Beekeeper Studio.
Viewing and exploring the data comes really easy with this nice piece of software.
Only thing I would suggest as an improvement, would be the capability of saving a query as an sql script into the file system (and being able to load it too). Other than that, highly recommended for anyone who writes SQL queries for a living.
Super easy to use! Big fan.
As a Linux user of multiple database types, I had tried a few DB clients that were available to me, but everything I found either felt clunky, didn’t have all the features I wanted, or didn’t support more than its dedicated DB type. Test driving Beekeeper Studio’s community edition felt great and made it an easy decision to unlock the additional features and support Matthew with an upgraded plan, particularly at the very reasonable price point.
Excelente herramienta con una UI super limpia, un diseño hermoso y funciona de maravilla!! Sin dudas la volvería a adquirir :)
beekeeper is exactly what I’m looking for! it’s simple yet powerful.
I work across a lot of different computers including Mac and Windows. Beekeeper Studio lets me do this without even thinking about it. My connections to all different types of databases just work regardless of which computer I find myself on. Really love the ethos behind Beekeeper Studio and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
Hello Beekeeper Studio,
I want to express my gratitude here.
I am a student, new in dabbling with databases, mysql, php and all the rest - whilst trying to figure out if this is something I want to pursue full-time.
Currently, I am working on a project I am very excited about with databases. I am also a self-taught graphic designer, so I love the aesthetic of the site.
What I really want to express gratitude for, however, is the community version. As a student, I am not able to support your gracious services yet, but I am very thankful that I am still able to use it - it is a far better alternative than that of phpmyadmin and all the rest.
Thank you! I will make sure to support your services when I am able to do so.
Sincerely,
Magnus
Just wanted to reach out and say thank you, like seriously, a million times: Thank you for Beekeeper Studio
When I discovered beekeeper yesterday, I fell in love immediately. This will be a long-lasting relationship I’m sure 😄.
Our efficiency for managing our SQL code is a 2-3x improvement using Beekeeper compared to before.
I’m not sure I know what we would be doing without Beekeeper, probably coming up with file based sharing system with checkout permissions on a SharePoint which would be amazingly painful.
Unlike pgAdmin, Beekeeper is remarkably simple to use yet not lacking in features–and the price is right! The database backup feature is particularly useful. Just great software.
Switched from DBeaver - absolutely in love with Beekeeper Studio’s zen-like interface! The multi-tab workflow and quick table editing save me hours weekly. It’s the SQL client that sparks joy while managing databases 🐝✨
this is awesome and very useful to me 😎🔥🔥
I chose this program after years of using phpMyAdmin—it feels like stepping into a world of higher quality; here, I truly felt that the user is genuinely cared for. The concept itself, the implementation, the practical experience—I am sincerely grateful to Matthew for all of it.
I just love this tool and instantly brought the pro version after trying it. Fast, multi platform as I use Mac and Linux. Supports various different dbs. And is open source and more importantly cares about what its users want and not some management
Fabulous tool, the most practical IDE I’ve found to date for Postgres and MySql db admin - it just works, no fuss :-)
So far the most comprehensive DB admin GUI out there. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is I cannot claim to have used it exhaustively only having discovered it two weeks ago. But so far, mySQL, MSSQL and Postgres in one tool is simply incredible.
Planning to purchase once pay day hits.
It is extremely fast and lightweight. It does what it says it does quite well and quickly. I migrated from PgAdmin cos after I upgraded to latest version, it was hanging and freezing a lot that it was easier to go back to version 4 or just move on.
I would say I save nearly an hour (at least) running queries and checking db changes mainly.
I had been using the free version of Beekeeper studio for a while, but when I needed to work with some MongoDB databases I upgraded to the paid version. And honestly, I was up and running in no time. Beekeeper is slick, fast, and it just works. Very intuitive, very easy to use. I work with MongoDB, Postgresql, SQL Server, and other databases in my job, and having one tool that can talk to them all is just wonderful.
Thank you, Matthew and team!
Beekeeper Studio is hands down the best SQL editor I’ve used in years. The user interface is clean, intuitive, and modern, making legacy tools look completely prehistoric. It’s fast, handles multiple database types smoothly, and the SQL auto-complete is incredibly helpful. If you want a powerful, cross-platform database tool that doesn’t sacrifice UX, this is the one to get. 5 stars!
Clean, modern UI to connect to a multitude of databases and data platforms. Moving from VSCode with SQLTools, which required installing database-specific drivers and dealing with the atrocious GCP BigQuery UI, this is a very welcome change. Batteries included indeed!
Beekeeper Studio is one of the few database tools I’m willing to keep using.
The grid editing experience is great, and everyday data browsing and editing feels very natural.
Connection management and object browsing could still improve, but overall it’s easier to live with than many alternatives.
I’ve been using Beekeeper for a few weeks now, and what I appreciate most is its simple, minimalist interface. It just works right out of the box.
Beekeeper is an excellent DB Client Product. I was amazed when I started to use it. Great job guys 👍🏾
Beekeeper Studio is an excellent database client that strikes a great balance between power and simplicity. The interface is clean, modern, and very intuitive, making it easy to work with databases without feeling overwhelmed by unnecessary complexity.
One of the things that stands out the most is how smooth and responsive the query editor is. Writing and running SQL queries feels fast and efficient, and the results are presented in a clear and well-organised way. Features like tabbed queries, saved connections, and quick data editing make day-to-day database work much easier.
The cross-platform support is also a big advantage. Being able to run the same tool across different environments without any hassle makes it a very practical choice for developers who work with multiple systems.
Overall, Beekeeper Studio is a reliable, well-designed database client that helps streamline database management and querying. It’s a great tool for developers, analysts, and anyone who regularly works with SQL databases.
Very good and clean interface, ease of use, nice conection experience.
Saved to so much time using the sql editor+sql actions copy
I do love the ability to preview data as a JSON.
Before I used two separated apps: “MySQL Workbench” and “pgAdmin 4”.
Can’t say for sure, but it really saves time
the unlimited tap on the free tier is GREAT
thank you all
Fantastic tool made only better by team behind it, they’re actively making a consumer friendly product with their lifetime licenses, even while you’re subscribed! Please don’t stop.
My cloud based db solution closed down their frontend UI, to focus on branching, so I needed something else to view/edit the db … Beekeeper is as advertised, and it’s free for what I currently need. If I ever need more, I’ll likely just upgrade to a paid account.
Love using Beekeeper to visualize what’s in the db.
Beekeeper is a clean, intuitive database management tool that makes working with databases fast and enjoyable. Its modern UI is easy to navigate, even when handling complex schemas, and it supports multiple database types seamlessly. Querying, browsing tables, and managing connections feel smooth and well thought out. Overall, Beekeeper strikes a great balance between power and simplicity, making it a solid choice for developers who want an efficient, no-friction database client.
Beekeeper has really nice UI. Setting up and saving connections are really easy and time saving.
always used HeidiSQL because that is what comes with MariaDB (and it’s free) but have always been frustrated with the slow to non-existent autocomplete and having to use the mouse a lot. BeeKeeper helps resolve these frustrations. JSON formatting of table data is super convenient.
Amazing product! It helps my workflow like any other.
Actually a good DB tool, somehow took me forever to find a good one. am mostly loving for the UI and has good performance with it.
Beekeeper Studio is an enjoyable product due to the clean user interface/user experience (UI/UX). The navigation is easy, and the connections are simple, and I love that it supports Redis for free as well.
Previously, I had used pgAdmin which I felt was too complicated, and then I used DBeaver, which had great features but was also a hassle to use, and the tools I needed were hard to find.
I have used Beekeeper Studio for about 2–3 months now, and I really love it! The interface, navigation, and ease have all been invigorating. Also, being open source is a huge plus.
I feel like I’m missing the ER diagram/database design tool that I had in DBeaver, but maybe it’s here somewhere and I just haven’t found it yet. But other than that, the experience has been great.Overall, Beekeeper Studio has no doubt improved my workflow, and I’m enjoying using it.
A really clean and modern experience. Vim mode is a little clunky, but was good enough to rely on. The clean interface meant that much more screen real estate can be used developing queries and examining results than other editors I have tried. I would recommended beekeeper to anyone
I used to be a huge fan of Sequel Pro, which then turned into Sequel Ace. It’s still a great tool but I needed something that was cross platform. I struggled to find a replacement and was literally keeping MacBooks around to run Sequel Pro but finally found Beekeeper. Literally it allowed me to be free of Macs. It’s not even that other tools don’t have the same features, its the look, feel, and general workflow that Beekeeper has that other tools don’t match. That being said, the cloud workspace feature that lets me save my connections in different “Teams” is actually huge and something almost no competitor has.
Beekeeper Studio has been a staple in my toolbox for database management for the last four years. The connection management, the vim keybindings, and vimrc support make this tool a breeze to use and something I recommend everybody use!
If you use databases, then you really only need one tool, saves time on learning others, saves space, consistant commands regardless of db engine
I love it. Knocks spots off PGAdmin. Fast, easy to use, and powerful.
I really needed a lightweight and beautiful database tool, and then it appeared - Beekeeper Studio.
I love beekeeper–it made all my other DB clients obsolete on day one. It is so nice to be able to keep the same client for different kinds of database, because let’s face it: modern apps need both SQL and NOSQL DBs and there is often a DWH involved also. One thing I really like: the color coding, that I use to show me which environment I’m working. Simple, but super useful.
Good guys, and good product, deserve at least a good review and a support purchase in closest future.
Guys saved my time, letting use this piece of gold for free. I just needed a fast way to visually see my db. As a bonus I got editing.
Basically in a free plan you have everything you need for solving 99% of what you need fast.
BUT. Whatever amount of % you can get with a free plan, please be thankful and responsible. Be a good human. These guys deserve the support. Get the license. I will get one asap. And I don’t feel I’m buying some new perks at the first place. I feel that I’m giving back to good people, who helped me with this brilliant software, for free, without even knowing me.
Lets build a good world together by supporting good people.
Guys, thank you. You do this in the right way imo. I’d do this the same way.
Wish you good luck, a lot of health to you and your families and the best possible mood and courage to continue doing things you do the way you do.
Again, a lot of respect and a lot of thanks.
Cheers from Russia ❤️
What is your favorite feature?
UI: great visualization of my externally hosted PostgreSQL DB.Did you migrate from another tool?
I didn’t.How much time do you save by using Beekeeper Studio?
I just started using it so maybe an hour a week, migration is in progress.
- My favorite feature is being able to edit my database without the need to mess with psql or django shell
- I migrated from pgAdmin
- I save A LOT of time when I need to “unapply” some migration that I was working in another branch or delete some unused files, like images, pdfs or even own database models
Such an awesome product. Beautiful UI, everything works the way it should, great database/sql command exports. Hard to find a better product for PSQL
I appreciate how the team at Bee Keeper is always making improvements to their product! They also have very responsive customer service. The tool itself is very easy to use with a great interface! There is only one feature request that I have and that is the ability to search queried results!
Friendly UI , great for a free app. I wish there’s an indicator if the connection is still open or we have some auto-refresh features. I believe this would improve more from time to time, keep it up team!
Fundamental in my workflow. Perfect amount of functionality without bloat. Love it.
Beekeeper studio is amazing! Its best feature is its simplicity. I have used other database managers but I was always confused because of the complexity of the UI. I love it! And now I use it everyday! I always prefer simplicity and Beekeeper studio is the simplest and best database manager. Also its better than other database managers in terms of features.
I really love it!
- What is your favorite feature?
Quick and lighting fast.- Did you migrate from another tool?
Dbeaver- Any Missing feature?
On clicking a jsonb or json column, its not showing in a json format (pretty) it shows a long single line text.
I really like how intuitive and clean the beekeeper ui is, how light it feels
It’s very good, really like it. Been using Postico but wanted something that runs on both Mac and Windows.
I can’t justify getting another subscription service, would love if there was a one time payment version (though I have no idea what the paid version does but it’d be nice to support this :))
Easy to use. Good tool. Highly recommend this. There probably isn’t anything as good.
I use this tool a lot as it has a very simple interface useful for screen sharing and quickly inspecting the database but doesn’t keep any power tools away from you. I can also use this with multiple database types so it’s a no brainer to keep using it. Thank you for a great product!
Beekeeper Studio is by far the best db ui tool we have come across. Dependable, intuitive to use, not fussy, and very pleasant to look at.
Beekeeper Studio is hands-down one of the most beautiful and useful SQL editors I’ve used. The user experience (UX) is smooth, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed, making database management feel effortless.
One of my favorite features is the “Apply and Go to View Record” in related data – it’s a small detail, but it saves so much time and keeps your workflow fast and focused. Everything feels responsive and clean, and the interface doesn’t get in your way.
Whether you’re writing queries, managing tables, or browsing data, Beekeeper Studio just works — and looks great while doing it.
Highly recommend it to anyone working with SQL databases!
Beekeeper is the best! I’ve been working with SQL since the late 1900s. Every instinct I have in the UI is correct and fast.
Really pleased to find a solution that runs well on Ubuntu and allows me to replace my old, proprietary DB admin tool that I’ve used for 15+ years.
Used to use MySQL Workbench but it was so clunky and intimidating. Switched to Beekeeper and never went back. Databases are not my strong suit but Beekeeper helps eliminate friction, is easy to use, and makes me feel capable to do what I need to do.
I have several favorite features: the possibility to connect through SSH, the saved queries, the TAB’s to hold several queries and table outputs and the right-click “SQL: create” feature. Would be nice if this could be expanded to more items, like triggers. When still stuck to MS Windows (now a great Linux fan, dumping anything Microsoft like a brick!) I used MySQL Workbench but Beekeeper is a perfect alternative and at least on Linux much easier to install and a lot more universal in respect to connecting to databases.
I don´t know how much time I save by using Beekeeper Studio, I never recorded it, but I know it is highly intuitive and therefore quite easy to use, which probably saves time, at least learning to use it.
Simple, easy and straightforward to use!
Спасибо создателмя данного сервиса за их труд. Все на достойном уровне, все очень красиво и эфективно. Желаю вам чтобы вы и дальше продолжали развиваться. Успехов вам.
Beekeeper is the best database client I have ever used, in my 20+ years of professional coding. Would WHOLEHEARTEDLY recommend. It’s so good, all the time.
Ricardo G.
Software Engineer, Prisma MasterI’ve used many database clients over the years, but this one stands out as a game-changer. The clean, intuitive UI, combined with seamless multi-DB support, makes database management an absolute breeze. Whether I’m working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite, the experience is consistently smooth—no unnecessary complexity, just a fast, reliable tool that gets out of the way. The right sidebar with relationships just make me smile everytime I use it. Thank you Alex for your commitment of making beautiful software. Specially in this area of database clients, it was very much needed.
Everything you need, platform agnostic, lightweight UI and a very very reasonable pricing plan.
You can’t go wrong, go ahead and just get a licence, we devs should support each other
Fantastic UX, simple to use, I appreciate the ability to save queries and the keyboard shortcuts.
i’ve been using beekeeper for a couple of years (and finally just upgraded to a paid version) and have seen many other people use it after asking what i was using during a screenshare session. honestly, one of the more stable products i’ve used as of late.
the new json view for a row of data is a simple but very, very useful feature. well worth picking up a license for it.
Beekeper Studio is really intuitive way for me to work with SQL databases when developing my apps! The recently added ‘JSON view’ feature solved my biggest problem of rows being hard to read, but with this, it is a simple JSON to look at.
I would 100% recommend Beekeper Studio if you work a lot on SQL Databases!
I was a SQL tool Luddite for years, relying on text files and command-line tools to query Postgres databases. On a whim I tried BeeKeeper Studio and was surprised to learn I couldn’t live without it. The query history alone has probably saved me hours!
It is a wonderful toolwhen you want to understand data. Sometimes many tools are difficult to configure. With Beekeeper it is very easy, nice and fast to start obtaining data to understand insights in different formats.
Finally a lightweight good looking db manager
Love this. Really lightweight - does exactly what you need and nothing else SQL IDE. Tried it for a few thinks then realised it’s what I had been looking for a long time. Beautiful design.
1) intuitivo
2) no, ho conosciuto direttamente beekeper tramite un tutorial SQL di un ragazzo, su YouTube
3) penso abbastanza, ma sono un principiante, non so quanto sia utile la mia risposta
Love the UX. As a professional software engineer, this product has been such a joy to use compared to others and I actually look forward to it. It was also worth the upgrade! All of the features you could need are available.
I’ve been using Beekeeper for quite a while. I have tried several other options and honestly, Beekeeper is the best of the bunch. It’s fast, it looks good, and it just works. It’s exactly what I need.
I like the “view data” feature - I’m auditing a bunch of unfamiliar databases and it’s quick. I mostly use mysql workbench and pgadmin, I’m ready for a unified experience :)
Is different and more intuitive than other editors. The UI is very smooth
Have used Beekeeper Studio’s community edition recently .Its intuitive interface and robust features make it an excellent choice for both beginners and professionals. Highly recommended for efficient database access!
Great app fast lightweight and clean
I hope you added some features like er diagram or exporting to mermaid code or draw.io that would be really great
Great GUI, super clean lightweight SQL client. I don’t know why I would use any other client.
Beekeeper is easy to use, connects to a wide variety of databases and is affordable. I had been using multiple tools for the various backend types I worked on, but now I don’t need to go hunting for another database tool.
Finally a simple and clear tool to manipulate database ! DBeaver is dead !
wow! I just started using and with my little experience with it, I find it very simple to interact with and the multi DB features is so cool. I will sure recommend it to my colleagues.
I’ve used DBeaver (CE) before and Beekeeper has a much cleaner UI. I really like being able to choose colours for different connections so I don’t accidentally run queries in the wrong environment.
My feature request would be being able to choose the default behaviour when clicking the ‘Run’ button so I could have it be “Run current” instead of running all the queries.
Beekeeper is excellent for connecting and looking at various database sources in a single clean and simple UI.
Fantastic Product! It has helped my prototyping greatly! A+ effort team! thank you
Very easy to use and light weight. Thanks
Probably the best tool on the market. And amazing design.
Very good tools for database management. I like it because it can easily export query result to excel.
Just the portable very exe file is too big, need more time to loading.
I like Beekeeper Studio for its ease of use and beautiful interface. I really want to see how the program evolves, because, with a few more features, it can become the closest-to-perfect SQL client there is.
Yes, I like it.
Its simple to use, not the million and complicated functions and buttons like other tools.
I tested many before, but very complicated to use and learn.
Beautiful interface, low resource usage, I’m happy. Keep evolving the product with the guideline of a tool for programmers, not for DBAs.
Beekeeper Studio is an excellent SQL client! I tried multiple different clients and found Beekeeper to have the all the necessities while being user friendly and having a clean UI. Give it a try!
I spent a lot of time looking for an easy to use GUI for MariaDB on the Rpi5/Bookworm. Beekeeper Studio has been perfect for my needs.
It has been a pleasure using this SQL tool!
I just want to view my database and make some updates when working as a backend dev and this tool is just perfect! But it you’d use native interfaces for the app, would be amazing!
I’m using Windows 11
Es extremadamente fácil de usar y muy rápido. Ha estado ganándose mi corazón. Estoy ansioso por ver lo que puedo lograr con Beekeeper.
Very easy to use, intuitive. Makes it quite simple to view data and remove unwanted records.
For me this is the best UI for dealing with databases. Super user friendly, but also allows to write plain SQL with parameters. Especially handy for local development. I can save my connection for later use and it stores the passwords in keychain. What more to ask for?
I love Beekeeper Studio. My first reason, although superficial, is that I love it’s UI. It feels modern and sleek unlike a lot of existing tools that I’ve used. I like the workspace features too, as and really appreciated the fair pricing.
One of the best things I found with Beekeeper Studio is it’s modern, polished yet very simple and configurable UI. I came across the community edition recently and using it for a while. It just works..! Best UX so far..!
Beekeeper Studio is fantastic! Fast, easy to use, it’s got everything I need without bloat or unnecessary features… I use it pretty much exclusively for all my database management needs.
I use BeeKeeper Studio to see the structure of the database I have to access, which then reduces the amount of trail and error in writing SQL queries.
Great product, Highly recommend this to others.
Slick interface and lots of connection methods. Many quality of life aspects which come from a clear effort to keep improving things. Responsive author that listens to customer requests. Migrating over from SQLyog and not looking back.
It solved my troubles to find a client that can be used on both Windows and Mac. It is easy to use and configure. Great software!!
It just plain works. Can get in to work on DB without anything else in the way.
Thank you so much for your great work Matthew!
I was exactly on the same shoes that let you into develop Beekeeper Studio and almost desperate enough, not finding the right solutions for me, to start developing something myself.
Hopefully I found Beekeeper Studio and it’s everything I need for just the right small enough fee that a single developer won’t mind paying for, if it’s the right tool for him, has it is for me.
Again, thank you so much for taking the crazy job onto yourself and develop the tool we all independent developers were thinking about creating for ourselves.
Please keep the awesome work!
Tried out Beekeeper after years of TablePlus and was skeptical about it as I never knew anyone using it. Used the community edition for a few weeks before migrating to Beekeper Studio and oh my, that’s the best GUI for Windowsyou can find. It’s fast, it’s smooth, it does everything you expect it to. Top notch software and support. Kudos for Matthew!
I’m a software engineer and I develop on Mac and Windows. I have access to multiple DB tools via work but nothing that meets my requirement of being fast, easy to use, and works on both Mac and Windows. I really like the no-nonsense focus on data browsing and SQL querying that Beekeeper offers. Having the community version just made my evaluation process easier.
I’ve used BeeKeeper Studio for several years now and it works great. Most of my database access is with Postgres and I’ve had no issues using it. I definitely recommend it. It’s very useful to have all the saved queries as well as the ability to do direct database updates when appropriate.
Great product design, pleasant UI, and very user-friendly for newbs (me) to SQL.
Very nice Application with a clean UI. Its the only SQL Tool I found with excelent Support for 4k screens. And I really love the ability to quicksearch in columns without have to write full SQL Statements.
The best thing about Beekeeper Studio is the clean interface and presentation of data. It’s the best tool available that I know of. I use Postgres, MySQL, SQLite, Oracle and MS SQL as an engineer and Beekeeper does the lot with a very smooth and spacious natural intuitive interface. If you short list Beekeper Studio I’m pretty sure it will become your go-to.
